The Penn Elcom 9274M is a heavy-duty concealed hook lock, also known as a coffin lock or draw latch, that clamps two panels into a single rigid join. At 1760lb it carries the highest working load in the range. It pairs with the 9274F Female Panel Lock, engaging with a steel dual hook that holds the join tight through the vibration and impact of transit.

Hello. I'm an engineer and my client is using the 9274 panel locks to join aluminum tubes. I can see online that the rated capacity is 1.1 tons. Can you please clarify what this number is based on? What is the factor of safety to the ultimate capacity? Thank you.
The load rating is 1000kg / 2204lb based on allowable stress.  We are currently unable to provide advice on applications outside of its intended use.
I do not see any dimensions for the hex keyhole on the plans for the 9274M. Can you provide those dimensions?
The dimensions of the hex keyhole are 8mm / 5/16" and will suit a standard hex key / allen key, or purchasing our 9608 -&...
