does the hook automatically engage when faced to the female , or does it have to be manually locked with the hex?

I do not see any dimensions for the hex keyhole on the plans for the 9274M. Can you provide those dimensions?

The dimensions of the hex keyhole are 8mm / 5/16" and will suit a standard hex key / allen key, or purchasing our 9608 -&...
