1/4" film-faced birch plywood with a fine textured matte-black phenolic face and a smooth back. A low-sheen, fingerprint-resistant surface for cases and cabinets where a flat, non-reflective finish matters. Supplied as a 4 × 8 ft (1220 × 2440mm) sheet.
The textured face hides handling marks and cuts glare; the smooth reverse cleans easily and takes hardware. Built from five or more layers of cross-bonded birch veneer, with a hard phenolic film that resists scratches, abrasion, chemicals and UV. The film is the water-resistant barrier, so seal cut edges and drilled holes for continued protection in damp conditions.
