9.5mm film-faced birch plywood with a smooth matt-black phenolic face on both sides, the standard board for building flight cases, supplied as a standard 8 × 4 sheet (2440 × 1220mm). Built from five or more layers of cross-bonded birch veneer for strength and stability in both directions, with a hard phenolic film that resists scratches, abrasion, chemicals and UV, and wipes clean.
Durable yet lightweight and easy to machine, it’s built for flight, rack and road cases, and suits speaker cabinets, workbench tops and van linings. The phenolic film is the water-resistant barrier, so seal any cut edges and drilled holes for continued protection in damp conditions.
