3/8" film-faced birch plywood with a fine black haircell (pinseal) phenolic face and a smooth back. A subtle textured finish that hides scuffs and handling marks on case exteriors. Supplied as a 4 × 8 ft (1220 × 2440mm) sheet.
The haircell-patterned face keeps case exteriors looking clean under heavy handling; the smooth reverse cleans easily and takes hardware. Built from five or more layers of cross-bonded birch veneer, with a hard phenolic film that resists scratches, abrasion, chemicals and UV. The film is the water-resistant barrier, so seal cut edges and drilled holes for continued protection in damp conditions.
